About You:

Easy Aerial is looking for a full-time Senior Embedded Systems Developer to manage several highly-complex projects in the field of autonomous sUAS (drones). You will be responsible for leading project(s) while managing resources, schedules, and teams in multiple geographic locations. This also includes management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and timely project completion.

Past work at another sUAS company with projects for US Military, DoD, DHS, and/or previous complex aerospace background is preferable.


As our Embedded Systems Developer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead complete developing cycle of new products including concept design, hardware and software prototyping and preparing for mass production
  • Optimization of existing designs regarding size, consumption, efficiency, price, etc.
  • Develop ARM based microprocessor software using real-time OS
  • Analytic and detailed approach to every segment of the designs
  • Collaborate with peers and leads both within the team and across the organization
  • Mentor embedded team members
  • Act as an internal quality control check for the project
  • Conduct your work with a focus on customer satisfaction and/or exceeding customer expectations
  • Continually support and maintain Easy Aerial’s Quality Management System (QMS) by deploying ISO9001 practices and guiding other employees to do so as well

Required qualifications:

  • Experience with PCB designing in Altium Designer (or similar) and designs applicable for high voltages, high currents and high-speed signals
  • Experience with ARM based microprocessor programming in C/C++ language and using real time OS such as FreeRTOS
  • Experience with electronics larger quantities manufacturing, preparing test bench and testing
  • Knowledge of hardware standards such as ingress protection and EM compatibility is an advantage
  • Experience with PCB component soldering is an advantage
  • Oral and written communication must be clear, concise, professional

Prior Experience

A Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or equivalent experience with emphasis on robotics and unmanned aircraft systems

Our well-equipped development facilities are located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard with ample indoor/outdoor test flight space. The office is open full time during COVID-19, with PPE and social distancing precautions enforced.
