About You:
Easy Aerial is looking for a full-time UAS operator. You will be a part of the flight team responsible for demonstrations, flight testing and evaluation, as well as acceptance testing and pre-delivery inspection of our production UAV systems. Worldwide travel will be required and you should have technical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs in the field. You have excellent communications skills and are comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders in the civilian and military sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Flight demonstrations and evaluation
- Test, validate, and release systems
- Work directly with the engineering team to recommend improvements to UAS flight characteristics and performance
- Basic troubleshooting of system and components
- UAS maintenance
- System documentation/manuals/procedures etc.
- System QA and final checks before delivery
- Conduct your work with a focus on customer satisfaction and/or exceeding customer expectations
- Continually support and maintain Easy Aerial’s Quality Management System (QMS) by deploying ISO9001 practices and guiding other employees to do so as well
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical assembly
- Background as aircraft technician
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
- Self-motivated and decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands
- Must be able to learn, understand, and operate multiple UAS systems
- Support a diverse and inclusive work environment
Required qualifications:
- Extensive experience operating commercial or military grade UAS in a variety of conditions and environments
- Current Part 107 FAA license
- Valid Drivers License
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs under pressure in the field
- Must be able to travel worldwide on short notice for extended periods of time
Location:
Our well-equipped dev facilities are located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard with ample indoor/outdoor test flight space. The office is open full time during COVID-19, with PPE and social distance precautions enforced.
